The embrace
2004, installation, plexiglas, fishing line, X-Rays, films, dimensions variable.
Young artists explore cinema, Berlin-February 2004.
Awarded and kept in the permanent collection of Macedonian Museum of contemporary Art.
The day before my mother died, the doctors ordered a series of X-Rays. She couldn’t stand, so I tried to hold her. Both our bodies were scanned in a last embrace.
A perfect human body of natural size was digitally created and hanged up, a true copy of real dimensions, exactly as it would appear if it was sliced per 1.5 cm: it is the massacred frame for the remaining X-Rays “in memoriam”.
